Installation Features

Each side marker light strip has a waterproof design and mounts to the bottom of the truck or behind the running board. Using the included double-sided tape will ensure a secure and reliable fit that will last in all weather conditions. Each LED running board light kit also includes installation instructions, 9’ of power wire per strip, butt splice connectors and zip ties for a complete installation.

Running Board Lighting Kit Features

Running Lights:

Connect the orange wire to the headlight switch source to access the running lights. The Running Lights feature creates solid yellow LED illumination that makes your truck more visible on the road when driving at night, especially in rain, fog and overcast conditions. This option works in conjunction with your truck’s headlights, so that when you turn your headlights on the running boards on either side of your truck will be illuminated. Experience an added safety measure for your drive, while also enhancing the look of your truck.

Turn Signals:

Connecting the orange wire to the truck’s turn signal wires allows the yellow LEDs on your running boards to flash whenever the turn signals or hazard lights are being used. This is an independent feature and will not work while the running lights are active. When merging onto a road or shifting lanes, other drivers will be alerted to your turns by seeing the yellow side marker LEDs flashing below your truck’s running boards.

Courtesy Lights:

The white wire for the Courtesy Lights connects to the interior dome light wire, creating solid white LED illumination anytime a door is opened or when the dome light is activated. The Courtesy Lights function offers the benefit of added visibility when you’re walking up to your truck: You can unlock the door using your truck’s key fob, and the ground underneath will immediately be illuminated solid white. This feature can also be used with the Running Lights or Turn Signals.
